SIOUX FALLS, SOUTH DAKOTA, JUNE & JULY, 2015

SIOUX FALLS, SOUTH DAKOTA:
Sioux Falls revolves around the cascades of the Big Sioux River. The falls were created about 14,000 years ago during the last ice age. Large number of different Native American Indian tribes claimed Sioux Falls their own.
The first night we arrived, there was a big thunderstorm and tornado sightings. We called our in-house meteorologist Kevin for storm watch updates. Steve and I needed to take care of business in Minnehaha County so we spent Fourth of July there. The Mayor greeted the first 5,000 residents at the entrance gate for a free BBQ. The Fourth of July parade was one of the strangest small town parades for being the largest city in South Dakota. The city came through on a very good fireworks show in the evening.
